Once again, it was a pleasure chatting with you on the phone. I’m pleased to invite you to take the The Bookkeeping Department Skills and Speed Test. You may choose to use either QuickBooks or Sage 50 as bookkeeping software.

The test is part of The Bookkeeping Department’s committment to provide the highest quality service to our clients. Please allocate up to 2.5 hours to complete it (though many do it faster).

It consists of three parts:

1. Speed Test – This evaluates your speed and accuracy for basic data entry. You will enter several invoices into the same data file. It will take you 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
2. Bookkeeping Skills – The skills test is to evaluate basic bookkeeping knowledge, plus a few challenging situations. You will be given typical paperwork to process into a Sage or QB file, simulating a typical bookkeeping session. It will take you about 90 minutes to complete.
3. And the Excel test evaluates your skills with basic spreadsheet creation. It will take you 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

The test will take place in our office at Suite 103L, 9705C Horton Road SW, in the Northland building. You may park in a Visitor sport on the west side of the building. Walk in the doors, past the elevator to the end of the hall, and turn right. You’ll see our sign.
